Cherry Brooks and Cal Jackson
Cherry Brooks (vocals) and Cal Jackson
(guitar/vocals) have been friends and musical
collaborators since 1980. Over the years they have
played together in many professional musical
organizations, including a 7-piece R&B band, a jazz
quartet, a blues band, and a rock group. Drawing
from this experience, and with the addition of songs
selected specifically for their duo, Cherry and Cal
perform a wide variety of material appealing to
audiences of all ages and musical tastes.
The duo’s song styles include jazz, soul, R&B, pop,
blues, funk and rock. They play with a feel ranging
from sophisticated to funky, and enjoy
communication and interaction with the audience.
